A big THANK YOU to everyone that attended our first DIG DAY at the new Bryn Betws / Afan dirt park and 4X course. The weekend was a great success and we really appreciate your help and positive comments. We had a mixed bag as far as the weather was concerned.... Saturday was grey and cold with drizzle turning the track into a sticky mess in places which even the uplift vehicle couldnt get up! But a few of the riders made the most of the day and had a good time in the afternoon, even though the tyres were completely caked! A dry spell overnight and warm sun all day on Sunday saw the track dry out very quickly and the riders that turned up had a ball in the afternoon. Run after run and working out the best lines to take. We even had a few cross country boys who were passing on The Wall trail next to the track have a go, which ended with lots of swearing on the way and a small pile up half way down!
Everyone that attended were in agreement that it was truley a fantastic and world class track that will get better and better as it beds in.
Below are just a few pics from the hundreds i took over the weekend. i' ll be sorting the rest and a few video clips tomorrow and get then up during the week and onto our facebook page.
Again a big THANK YOU from all the staff at Afan MTB, Bryn Betws lodge, Gerry, Robbie and co and of course Phil and co to all of you that helped us out over the weekend.
We look forward to see you all (and your mates) again soon!
